Reminisce reciting fables 

run out of rhymes 

I spill poetry on the table 

so let's kill all the lawyers 

stop the great debate 

I get tired of listening to what 

people say they hate 

 

If we could be cowboys 

I would be Tonto 

Just in case your hero 

doesn’t show  

 

Old man on the front porch 

Lord only knows what he knows 

sits around bitchin 

says he’s tired of getting old 

but he lights up on those days

when his kids kid comes around

he'd say

 

Here is one cause you need money 

Two to go to the show 

Three to get ready 

Four just in case your hero doesn’t show 

 

Do you believe in this 

magic’s not all that

the only hero here is a rabbit in a hat 

so let's turn up the TV 

stay up to late 

throw popcorn at the villain 

cause that who we hate

and if we could be cowboys 

I would be Tonto
